Description

Hope this is going in the right place, I've never submitted something of this category before. And don't tell me to put it in 'costumes', because it is NOT a textile. Textiles = fabric, and Resin most certainly =/= fabric.

Ugly layout design but deal with it. This is not how it'll look on my portfolio page I promise;;;

It's a Mermaid Melody pichipichi pitch mic! Listed are progress pictures of the steps involved in making it;

1. Made a Roma Plastilina mockup around a wooden rice paddle and cardboard, adding embossed sticker accents for parts that could be painted that I wanted to pop out.
2. Made a Silicone Cast (Pathway ((I think they renamed themselves Puma??)) Polymers SI-25. Stuff is a bitch. FFFFFFF. After about 6-8 pours, I finally covered the entire object.
3. Casted the part with Pathway/Puma Polymers Mark 2 casting resin. Needed about 45 - 50 minutes for a full cure.
4. Raw casted positive
5. FINAL PRODUCT. Sealed with a matte spray finish, with a coat of gloss over the medium blue, yellow teardrops, and gold ring parts. Accessorized with a Pearl of Choice (In my case, pink, because I'm gonna be Luchia!)

And yes, I photoshopped the ref's pearl pink. It was originally Hanon's mic, because I couldn't find a not uber-tiny pic of Luchia's mic.
