It does, doesn't it? That I, you know, bitch about DA going-ons on my DA every now and then. I do a lot of bitching about it, just never on this site (because someone ALWAYS gets completely butthurt about it. No, not just 'I don't agree with your views', but 'I don't agree with what you're saying so I'm going to act like you just raped me up the ass'.)

So I'll say this once, and just once; If you don't think you can handle my Internet Tough-Guy attitude and shift into cruise control as well as my personal opinion, you don't have to read this. You can walk away; You don't have to listen to me bitch. I am not force-feeding you my personal opinion, and you DON'T have to agree with what I'm saying. But if you choose to get 'OMG BAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWW' on me, your problem, not mine. Do not try and make it my problem. Thank you.

So, Okay.


Lately, what is up with people getting a DA account and using it as their personal photobucket?? Uploading official artwork, Japanese artist artwork, icon and moodtheme pixels, and even artwork of artists on DA -- WITHOUT the permission of the artist to re-upload it! You want a place to store your photo's and show them to other people? GET A PHOTOBUCKET. Already have one and it's full?? Make another email address and create another Photobucket account. There's also other image storage sites like imageshack and tinypic. DA is not one of them. DA is a website for people to store their personal artwork that they did for comments and constructive criticism, or even to just promote themselves and get their name out there.


While we're on the topic of photobucket, and I'll make this bolded, loud and clear, MY PICTURES ARE NOT ON THIS SITE FOR YOU TO RIGHT-CLICK AND SAVE, ESPECIALLY PICTURES OF MY CHARACTERS. My character is NOT what you're character looks like for that SailorMoon/Bleach/Whatever-the-hell RPG you're in on Gaia except for so-and-so and this-and-that, NO U. And I'll tell you, you certainly don't have any permission to use their designs for whatever reason, even if I've placed that character into retirement. So PLEASE; UNLESS IT IS A PICTURE I HAVE DRAWN SPECIFICALLY FOR YOU, KEEP THE IMAGE OFF YOUR HARD DRIVE AND OFF YOUR IMAGE HOSTING SERVICES. I've probably said it over a million times now, but it never hurts to re-interate myself. And before anyone asks what spurned that one, it was IT'S THIS. She RP's on Sailor Moon forums and posts pictures of other people's senshi and...yeah, I think you know where this is going. So far she's uploaded 5 of my images and 2 images done specifically for me, though I have no idea how many of them she's actually 'used'... -_-;; (They're all ones WITHOUT my watermark too, gaahhh!!)


So. Moving on...


Pixels is the next subject. I LOVE pixel artwork, Lei-lei and Glory and DR do such wonderful and beautiful pixelling, it's kind of like DELICIOUS candy crack, YOU MUST HAVE SOME <3 <3. What bothers me, though, is when people upload Candybar Dolls (you create a doll via click-selecting on a website) DA has since given them leniency, but I still think they do not belong on DA. The only thing that you did was point, click,right-click and save. Yeah, that's some REAL effort right there. =\ If they belong anywhere on your DA, they belong in your scraps. Also, Gaia avatars fall on this opinion as well, unless you COMPLETELY pixel the outfit it's wearing (Which I used to do back when I had some faith in that site), I don't see the point in putting it in your gallery.


Also, Original Arists who pick on fanartists. Okay. I've had this happen to me before. DA is admittedly for my fuckery. Any original characters I've created seriously, along with some serious artwork I do will most likely never be submitted to my DA, and rather to a professional portfolio site, which is WIP. Why? Rants 1 and 2 should give you a good idea. And yet, I've gotten DA patrons, instructors, even other students and classmates get all hyper-WTF on me, 'OH MY GOD FANART YOU DRAW IT. DON'T. YOU AREN'T BEING ORIGINAL.' ...SUDDENLY, NEWSFLASH: Animators, Comic Artists, Game artists; WE'RE ALL FANARTISTS. Whether we're drawing our own things, or working under someone else, IT'S STILL FANART. It's STILL somebody's character, story, ect. and we're STILL drawing/modeling/colouring it for someone else. Also, I've proven on quite a few occasions outside of DA that I CAN do original things, I'd just prefer to keep them under the radar until my portfolio is ready for publishing. Personal decisions FTW.


Finally, this was brought up on the last argumental bitching journal I made: Unless I drew it SPECIFICALLY for someone whether it was a request, gift, commission, prize, Pennance, ect., I DRAW ONLY FOR MYSELF, not for the masses. This originated because I draw 'Characters and Yaoi Couplings from Popular Series'. Excuse me as I double over in pain from my own laughter. For starters, I don't draw things because they are ' Popular '. I hardly ever go with the mainstream unless I CHOOSE to. I'm proud to say I completely missed Tsubasa, XXXholic, bailed out on Naruto within the first 15 episodes, have not seen Lucky Star or Haruhi yet, and am JUST STARTING Gurren Lagann. Also; Yaoi/Shounen Ai: I will not do it unless I like the pairing and can see it CANONICALLY happening/proclaimed Canon by the series creator. But even then, I still have to like the pairing. And there are only two pairings I like: Kai/Takao, Ikkaku/Yumichika. The former (surprisingly) is not popular and the following for it is actually rather small compared to SEVERAL other bleach pairings. So, if I wanted 'attention' or ' popularity ', I would choose from SEVERAL other series to draw from, as well as pairings, but I don't. I don't because I do what I feel like I want to do, because I do things for myself.

Now that I'm done bitching, I have an announcement to make;

I will be cleaning out my DA gallery. Changing old things to the correct categories, putting some images into storage, and even re-submitting old images in better resolution and with my watermark. This includes my scraps and my CBE Photobucket Gallery. NOTHING IS SAFE...


Enjoying Figure Sculpture. I WISH I HAD THAT CLASS EVERY DAY. EVEN WEEKENDS. OMG. I sculpted someone's butt <3 I'll scrap that gem later <3<3 Storytelling watchamacallit is getting a little frustrating, he expected us to improv a single panel comic to 'Traffic's a Bitch'. Wow. It's like everyone in class but me could do it. I just couldn't produce anything. But I do just fine with character sketches and illustrations for that class...huh. Still un-opinionated on Argumentation and Debate.


Ishida is going well. I have all the fabric, gold cord trim, model magic, boots, the wig, EVERYTHING save for the trim. I can't find anything that looks good on Sateen with that colour!! x_x It's okay, though, because there's ONE fabric store I know MUST have something. And don't say 'dye something'. Dying Poly, Acrylic, and Poly-Cotton blends is a horror I NEVER EVER EVER want to experience again in my life. Oh, I succeeded, I just never want to do it ever again. Also, quincy cross. Ordered one, but it hasn't arrived yet. If it doesn't come within the next week, I'm bitching at the seller.
